Mowgli - Film Review - Netflix
MOWGLI. Netflix 2018
My first review of a film since IMDB. So last night I watched Mowgli and thought Id share with you my thoughts on the film.
I loved the book as a child and also the Disney movie.
When the new live action Jungle book came out I loved it, the songs the characters all like the original Disney film.
However Mowgli is more based on the book than the Disney films.
The animals and effects are good, and who am I too criticize CGI! I could not do it in a million years. But it seemed a bit awkward at times. Do not get me wrong it was still impressive. I have always been a fan of Andy Serkis and this is a great directing effort.
The story as we know is a good one and i was entertained and it was enjoyable the whole time. Shere Khans threat didn't seem as strong as in the recent Live action Jungle Book. The young actor was very good and really played the part well. Bhoot getting killed off was very sad indeed. That was quite shocking to see his head on the wall. Poor little thing. Netflix really are getting some high quality content filling their library and this is most certainly up there.
Would I watch again. Yes in a few years I think I would. 7.5/10
